Thinking of Hiring a Ghostwriter? Here’s Help!

November 21st, 2008 · No Comments

by Linda Van Fleet

What do presidents, candidates for political office, political debaters and Internet Marketers have in common? Writers. They all need original content.

The political leader engages a speech writer; the webmaster outsources to a freelance article writer. Both entities are ghostwriters who receive no credit for his work. The speaker or webmaster receives all the glory.

Ghost/speech writers have been hired by our political leaders for 100’s of years. It has been reported that Alexander Hamilton was the speech writer for George Washington. If that is factual, then Alexander Hamilton is probably the most famous ghostwriter of all times.

A ghost writer is a writer who works for compensation and upon completion of the project releases all rights to the body of work. Virtually all public figures use ghostwriters to write their memoirs, correspondence and speeches. Many webmasters have discovered the benefits of using ghostwriters to write their articles, especially those who don’t have the time or talent to keep their web site updated with fresh, custom content.

We will explore and explain the process of hiring a ghostwriter to write those original articles for your website. Following are a few points to help with the process:

Be prepared. Do not talk with a ghostwriter without knowing what you want. Do you require technical data? Will the articles demand in-depth research? How many words do you want? What subject matter do you wish the article to express?

Don’t tell the ghostwriter to “write me an article on obesity” - a subject that has numerous subtopics and methods. If you don’t understand what you require I can promise you the ghostwriter will not satisfy you, no matter how much they charge or how seasoned they are. They are writers, not wizards.

Be professional. If you need to hire a freelance writer but you are clueless as to how much they charge or how they work you could end up losing your shirt. Hop over to Google and search for “custom articles”, “freelance writers” and “ghost writers” and see what they are charging.

Some will post their rates on the Internet. When you find what the “going rate” for ghostwritten articles is you can develop your budget for the expense. Or, after the research you may determine you can’t afford a ghostwriter.

Ask for a quotation. Many times web sites will post their fees so you can easily determine what the project will cost. At other times you may need to ask for a quotation.

Or, perhaps you are posting on one of the freelance websites such as elance.com or getafreelaner.com. As indicated in Item #1 - Be Prepared. Cover the following points in your query or posting: a) article length (words) b) article Topics c) deadline for the finished work d) your budget for article writing, and e) the method of payment.

Be Very Specific. What do you want? Whether you believe it or not there is a difference in “content articles” for your visitors to read and “keyword articles” written to improve your SEO (search engine optimization).

Maybe you want both. If so, does the ghostwriter have skill in creating people-pleasing content that will also delight the search engines and boost your search engine position?

Always keep your bottom line in view. Never overpay for your articles. Keep good record books of income vs. expenditures and remember that the reason you are engaging a ghostwriter to write those original articles for your website is to increase the traffic, hence the net profit, to your website.

How To Find Out If Your Spouse or Partner Is Cheating On You

November 21st, 2008 · No Comments

by Jack Mason

Suspecting that your spouse is being unfaithful to you can be incredibly worrisome. It doesn’t matter why you are suspicious - the bottom-line is that you deserve to know if they are being faithful. I want to show you an easy method to find out if your significant other is cheating on you.

This “detective work” involves a few easy to follow steps. Let’s go over them step by step to be sure you can uncover the answers you are hoping to find.

The First Step

To accomplish this first step, it is important to get your spouse away from their cell phone for ten to fifteen minutes (longer, if possible) so that you can look at it. Pick a time when they won’t be able to catch you at this.

Try waiting until your spouse runs out on an errand, or perhaps when they have just stepped into the shower. This should give you enough time to do what you need to do.

When you have their cell phone, get a pen and paper.

Locate their call history on the phone and write down all of the outgoing and incoming call numbers. If you see numbers you know, leave them out. Be certain to write down any number you don’t recognize, however.

With this finished, put the phone back where you found it and go to the computer.

Step #2

Armed with your list, you can have a look into who belongs to those mysterious numbers on your spouse’s phone.

You can find out full details on someone just by having their phone number. A reverse phone look up will give you the name, full address, location details and background information of the owner of the phone.

These days over half of phone numbers are either cell phones or unlisted. What this means is that the majority of phone numbers aren’t listed in any phonebook.

Fortunately, there are businesses that fork over good money to have access to full records to cell phones and numbers that aren’t in the phonebook. They then build databases that anyone can use.

There will be a small fee for using these website’s databases, but it is very reasonable. It is well worth it as almost any number can be found through these databases, even unlisted and cell phone numbers.

Some of these sites offer the option of unlimited searches for a one time fee, which is the most economical option if you have several numbers that you want to look into. this is much cheaper than the per-search fee you would otherwise pay.

You can try a free sample search by using the link at the bottom of this article if you want to see how this type of service works. It’s interesting to see how much information you can find out about someone by simply entering their phone number.

Run a reverse phone search for every number on your list and take note of the details you uncover for each.

Step #3

Last of all, have a look through the names your searches have pulled up for you. Do you see anything suspicious here? In many cases, when cheating is suspected there is a specific person with whom you think your spouse may be fooling around. Do you see this person on your list of names?

Now you know exactly who your partner is speaking with on their phone. This will help you figure out if there is anything “funny” going on.

The beauty of this easy plan is that it lets you find out some important answers about your spouse. I hope you get the details you need and discover if you are in a relationship with someone who treats you with the respect you deserve.

What Lies Behind Low Interest Credit Cards

November 21st, 2008 · No Comments

by Caden Flynn

Credit cards are not the salvation of mankind, nor are they a destructive force in themselves. They are simply a tool and like other tools can be either used to assist people in their daily lives or misused and result in a lot of anxiety.

Credit cards can be used as a tool of convenience, such as shopping online or cashless purchases. Conversely, they can be abused and turn into a financial millstone around the owner’s neck, resulting in large amounts of interest that has to be paid each month.

Quite often, those who find themselves with a debt that is spiralling out of control view the idea of debt consolidation as the solution. These people are often inundated with offers that promise a reduction in credit card debt through consolidation of all debts into one card.

But beware - these offers are not always what they seem. The “low” interest rates that are claimed usually only apply to those with extremely good credit ratings, not the typical “struggler” with a burden of debt.

Some can, however, provide a solution to the problem in the long term. You will only know if you qualify if you apply. If you are accepted, check the fine print carefully and consider the following things:

It is very unusual for a credit card offer to lower the outstanding principal in real terms. You will still have the same amount of debt and over the long term you will often be paying more.

Whilst a lower interest rate or a low APR credit card is a bonus, it doesn’t necessarily reduce the total amount owing. Consider this scenario: paying 8% on $10,000 over five years will actually cost you more than 10% on $10,000 over two years.

This is because of compound interest. In the first example, the total amount of interest is $2165.60, whereas in the second example, you are only paying $1074.80. This is because the interest rate is per annum (one year) - not for the entire term of the loan.

The attractive part of choosing the “lower” interest rate is the amount you have to pay each month. For the 8% interest over five years, you are paying $202.76, whereas with 10% over two years, the amount is $461.45 per month. Most people will find the lower payment easier to manage.

Whatever your situation, it is advisable to weigh up the possibilities - there are online calculators that will help you to find a comfortable rate of payment.
